Role & Responsibilities

FEED is looking for a Chief Marketing Officer to lead the development and execution of all marketing, growth and customer-focused strategies that drive customer acquisition and retention across all of our business channels (ecommerce, retail, wholesale, and business to business). You will report to the CEO with the following responsibilities:

  • Lead an internal team + agencies across growth/performance marketing, site & digital product, integrated marketing, brand and creative. As the company scales, you will assess where the gaps & opportunities are on your team and hire as demand proves necessary.
  • Build a strategic marketing plan that cuts across site, performance marketing, demand generation, brand & content, integrated marketing and community – ensuring the planned resources in place are aligned with the tactical plan & goals you’ve set out to achieve.
  • Work directly with the CEO to build quarterly and annual budgets that allow you and your team to meet the objectives and financial goals the company has set out to achieve.
  • Oversee web development agency to optimize website & key landing pages, driving conversion and AOV.
  • Lead paid media agency (currently Facebook and Google), optimizing the site and funnel for conversion.
  • Deliver weekly reporting by channel via Google Data Studio or other platform of choice.
  • Create cohesive integrated marketing plans for product launches, tentpole moments and partnerships.
  • Develop a loyalty program that drives fierce brand promotion and ambassadorship, with a focus on increasing repeat purchase and absolute lifetime value.
  • Own all brand and consumer communication across site, email, blog, media/press, and channel collateral.
  • Identify and implement partnerships that drive new customer growth across ecommerce and retail channels
  • Oversee an external PR team, directing strategic initiatives that drive brand awareness, amplification and ultimately, measurable referral traffic.
  • Evaluate, develop and grow the marketing team – recruiting and coaching best in class talent. Manage tech stack and evaluate new technology/platforms along the way.
  • Represent FEED at key industry events and conferences as the business demands.

Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years marketing experience with expertise in B2C ecommerce
  • Significant experience managing a marketing team; prior executive experience a plus
  • Proven ability to drive demand for a high growth B2C company, particularly in the fashion/lifestyle industry
  • Experience developing multi-faceted marketing programs across digital and out of home
  • A metrics-driven and results-oriented approach with a love for data
  • Proven track record in generating meaningful digital growth
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
